The Heron 2-wire controller is ideal for irrigating over a large area, whether your installation is for farming, horticulture, landscape or sport fields the Heron 2-wire controller provides a cost effective & reliable solution. Our 2-wire controllers have a superb range of software features, enabling you to customise the controller match the exact needs of each installation.
The Heron 2-wire controller operates solenoid valves connected to a single 2-core cable. The 2-core cable can be up to 5 km long. There are no special requirements regarding the quality or type of cabling used and there are no limitations to the arrangement or layout of the cable.
Ti Models
The Heron 2-wire controller is available in the following configurations:-
• Ti40 for controlling up to 40 valves
• Ti240 for controlling up to 240 valves
• Ti440 for controlling up to 440 valves
Choose How You Want to Work
Heron’s Ti range of irrigation controllers can be operated in the following ways:-
• As a standalone controller
• From a PC using Heron’s Ground Control Software
• From a mobile device or PC using the WEB based APP
Easy to use
Heron’s 2-wire controllers are menu driven, making them intuitive and easy to use. Because every site is different, Heron 2-wire irrigation controllers can be configured to match the needs of each installation.
You can specify the number of programs, the type and number of automatic starts needed. Software features can be enabled or disabled as required. Simply select the features you want to use from the list of options. The features will then appear in the controller’s main menu for you to use.
Complete Control
Your Irrigation sequence can be fully customised. Valves can be run in any order.
Valves within a sequence can be set to run in parallel. To simplify the creation of irrigation sequences, valves can be individually named.
Our 2-wire irrigation controllers will integrate with the range of Heron sensors. Irrigation can be controlled by light, rain, temperature, humidity, soil moisture or wind direction.
Heron Controllers can also be connected to Heron fertiliser and acid dosing systems. Up to four dosing systems can be connected to one irrigation controller.
Irrigation Program Features
• Up to 30 Independent programs, with up to 64 start times per day
• Runs up to 16 valves concurrently. Up to 8 Looping Cyclic starts
• Valves can be individually named. Valves can be specified to run on time or volume basis
• Valve times can be set from a minimum of 3 seconds to 60 hours
• Rainfall can be monitored over 1 to 4 days, irrigation programs can be reduced by 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%
• Programs can be allocated to up to 5 pump starts or master valves
• Valves can be defined for filter back flush use
• Programs can be integrated with light, rain, humidity, soil moisture and temperature sensors
• Fertigation facility to run fresh water followed by fertiliser and the fresh water
• Irrigation can be controlled from a calculated evapo-transpiration (ET) value. The ET value can be calculated using a variety of sensors, depending upon the required accuracy.
Hardware Features
• Up to 5 cable drivers can be connected to one controller
• Total output current of each cable driver is 1.6Amps
• Compatible with any 24v AC solenoid valve
• 1, 2, 3 & 8 valve decoders available
• Latching decoder available for latching solenoid valves
• Up to 5 flow meters can be connected
• Up to 16 remote inputs available
• A range of pump start decoder options
• Heron decoders have their own surge suppression, thermal trip and are fully water proof
